February - Pen yr Ole Wen

I decided that 2014 would be the year I learnt how to safely winter walk, so on New Years Day I booked myself a place on a 'Winter Skills' course in Plas y Brenin. Day 1 involved a lot of rolling around on wet grass learning the necessary skills, but on Day 2 we were lucky enough to find some proper snow on the Carneddau range to put our new found skills into practice.

I foolishly took no photos that day, but luckily Leigh, who was also on the course, took some stunning snaps and was kind enough to send them to me!
